Definitions

“Shiponic” refers to Shiponic Courier Services.

“Customer” refers to any individual or entity using Shiponic’s services.

“Shipment” refers to any package, parcel, or item handled by Shiponic.

“Third-party courier” refers to airlines, deliverby companies, customs authorities, or other service providers not owned or controlled by Shiponic.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using any service provided by Shiponic, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with our services, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full. Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance.

2. Scope of Services

Shiponic provides courier and logistics services, including but not limited to:

• Shipping services from the United States to Jamaica

Air freight services

• Assisted online shopping and payment services (where applicable)

• Warehousing and package handling

• Pickup, drop-off, and mobile delivery options

• Delivery via third-party courier services where applicable

Services are provided on a best-effort basis and are subject to availability, operational capacity, and regulatory requirements.

Shiponic reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion without prior notice.

3. Shipping Schedule

Shiponic ships three (3) times per week. All shipping schedules are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Shipping days and frequency may change without notice.

Delays may occur due to customs processing, carrier schedules, inspections, weather conditions, or other factors beyond Shiponic’s control.

4. Service Areas

Shiponic services customers throughout Jamaica.

Delivery outside standard service areas may be facilitated through third-party couriers at the customer’s expense.

5. Responsibility, Risk & Liability

All shipments are transported at the customer’s own risk.

Shiponic assumes limited liability for loss, damage, delay, or errors related to shipments.

Responsibility begins when a package reaches Shiponic’s warehouse and ends once the package is handed over to customs authorities, third-party carriers, or delivery partners.

Shiponic is not responsible for:

• Vendor or seller errors

• Incorrect or incomplete information provided by customers

• Packages lost or misdelivered prior to reaching Shiponic’s warehouse

• Delays, losses, or damages caused by third parties

In no event shall Shiponic’s liability exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific shipment. Any compensation, refund, or goodwill credit offered beyond this amount shall be entirely at Shiponic’s sole discretion and does not constitute an admission of liability or establish a precedent.

6. Insurance Disclaimer

Shiponic does not provide shipment insurance unless expressly stated in writing. Customers are responsible for obtaining insurance independently if desired.

7. Packaging & Fragile Items

Shiponic is not responsible for damage caused by improper or insufficient packaging by vendors, senders, or customers.

Fragile items including electronics, glass, liquids, cosmetics, or breakable goods are shipped at the owner’s risk, regardless of packaging method.

8. Prohibited & Restricted Items

Customers are responsible for ensuring all items shipped comply with local and international laws.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

• Illegal drugs or controlled substances

• Firearms, ammunition, or weapons

• Explosives, flammable, or hazardous materials

• Counterfeit or replica goods

• Pornographic or obscene materials

• Perishable foods

• Live animals

• Cash, cheques, or negotiable instruments

Customers are advised to consult the Jamaica Customs Agency for a full list of prohibited and restricted items prior to shipping.

Any prohibited item may be confiscated, disposed of, or surrendered to authorities without refund. Shiponic assumes no liability for seizures, fines, or penalties.

9. Customs, Duties & Fees

Customers are solely responsible for all customs declarations, duties, taxes, and government fees.

Shiponic assumes no liability for delays, inspections, seizures, or penalties imposed by customs authorities. Customers acknowledge that customs assessments are determined solely by government authorities and are beyond Shiponic’s control.

10. Assisted Online Shopping Services (Where Applicable)

For assisted online shopping services:

• Full payment must be made in advance

• Customers must confirm item details prior to purchase

• Payments are non-refundable once purchase is made

• Shiponic is not responsible for vendor errors, delays, cancellations, incorrect items, or sizing issues

All refund or exchange matters remain strictly between the customer and the vendor.

11. Payments

Accepted payment methods include:

• Bank transfer

• Cash

• Online payment platforms

All payments must be settled in full before processing. Payments are non-refundable once service or shipment processing begins.

Payments may be accepted in JMD or USD, where applicable. Exchange rates, where used, are determined at Shiponic’s discretion.

12. Claims & Complaints

All claims must be submitted in writing via email or official claim form within 48 hours of notification or receipt.

Supporting documentation such as invoices and photographs may be required.

WhatsApp messages do not constitute official claims.

13. Storage & Uncollected Packages

Packages not collected within 15 days of notification may incur storage fees.

Packages uncollected after 60 days may be auctioned, donated, or disposed of to recover storage and administrative costs. Customers remain responsible for all outstanding charges.

14. Cancellations

Cancellations must be requested at least 24 hours prior to scheduled service where applicable. Cancellation fees may apply.

Shiponic reserves the right to cancel services at its discretion.

15. Force Majeure

Shiponic shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, strikes, pandemics, airline disruptions, or customs actions.

16. Amendments

Shiponic reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Jamaica.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Shiponic and the customer and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
